June is Fostering Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on one of the most important roles in our communities. Right now, children across Ireland are waiting for a safe, loving home while their own families work through difficult times. Fostering gives them that.
It's not about replacing a family. It's about being a safe harbour — a place where a child can breathe, be cared for, and simply be a child.
One of the biggest barriers to fostering is simply not knowing what it actually involves. The myths are louder than the facts. So let's change that.
Fostering can be hard, nobody will pretend otherwise. But here at Origins, it comes with full training, ongoing support, and a dedicated social worker by your side. You won't do it alone. No one does.
This June, we're asking just one thing: consider it. Have the conversation, attend an information evening. Ask the questions you've been quietly wondering about, you might surprise yourself.

Reach out for any questions and enquiries. A member of our fostering team will get back to you as soon as possible.
