You don't need to have everything figured out. You don't need to have made a decision. All you need is a lunch break and an open mind, and we'll take care of the rest.
This month, we're inviting people across Ireland to join us for a free, informal online session that takes an honest, warm and genuinely hopeful look at what it means to become a foster carer. It's relaxed, it's real, and it fits neatly into your working day. No forms, no pressure ,just good information, good conversation, and maybe a moment that changes how you see the next chapter of your life.
Over the course of the session, you'll get a clear and grounded picture of what the fostering role actually involves, the school runs and summer camps, the small victories and the bigger ones, the therapeutic appointments and the moments of real connection that carers tell us they carry with them for life. We'll talk through the training and support available to you, because becoming a foster carer with Origins means you are never doing it alone. And you'll hear directly from a foster carer, someone who has lived it, sharing what a summer with children in their care has meant to them. The laughter, the trips, the trust that builds slowly and then all at once.
Whether you've been quietly wondering about fostering for years or it's only just crossed your mind, this session is the right place to start. It costs you nothing but an hour of your day, and it could open a door you didn't know was there.
Bring your lunch. Bring your questions. Come as you are.
Every act of support, big or small, can be a ray of sunshine. Join us to learn how you can bring the warmth and transformative power of fostering into a child's life.
This info session is ideal for anyone who wants to learn about making a positive impact as a foster carer. Whether you're considering fostering, seeking more information, or simply want to be part of a supportive community, this session is for you.

Reach out for any questions and enquiries. A member of our fostering team will get back to you as soon as possible.
