As the days grow colder, there’s nothing warmer than the feeling of giving back. At Origins Foster Care, we’re inviting you to learn how you can make a difference in a child’s life this winter. Our upcoming online info session on Thursday, 28th November at 19:00 hrs is the perfect opportunity to explore the role of fostering in a safe, supportive environment.
Fostering is about more than providing a roof over a child’s head – it’s about offering a stable, nurturing home and creating memories that help children feel safe and loved. In our November session, you’ll gain insight into what fostering truly involves, from the process of becoming a foster carer to the training and support we offer each step of the way.
Foster carers play an essential role in a vulnerable child’s life, providing a warm and nurturing home where they can grow, heal, and flourish. We’ll explore what it takes to be a foster carer and how you can contribute to a child’s wellbeing simply by being a caring, compassionate and providiing a stable and supportive home.
You’ll get to know our founders, Eugene Bigley and Mieke Ryan, and the inspiration to create Origins as an Irish-owned, independent, and trauma-informed agency that focuses on giving foster carers the training, guidance and support they need to care for a child.
After getting to know about Origins and our guiding principles, one of our fostering experts will walk through the process of fostering in Ireland, the high-quality resources and support systems available to every Origins foster carer, before you get to hear from the guest of honour: one of our very own foster carers!
One of our experienced foster carers will be on hand to share their personal experiences – the rewards, the challenges, and the impact they’ve seen in their foster children’s lives.
