We understand the decision to become a foster carer is a big one and we are here for you to guide you through and to ensure that fostering is right for you and your family.

We are hosting an online Information Evening on April 28th @7pm, you can tune in from the comfort of your own home . The event will be hosted by Clare Gleeson, Recruitment and Assessment Team Leader with Origins Foster Care. Clare will talk to you all about the assessment process and the supports that we have to offer at Origins Foster Care. You will also have an opportunity to hear from one of our experienced foster carers about what it’s like to foster. You will also be able to ask any questions you might have in relation to fostering with Origins Fostering Agency.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, committed and caring people who have time in their lives to care for a child and are willing to learn.

  • Single People or Couples
  • Heterosexual and Same-sex Couples
  • Married or Unmarried
  • Homeowners or Non-homeowners
  • Employed or Unemployed
  • Parents or Non-parents
  • All Ethnicities and Religions

Criteria

  • Have a spare bedroom
  • Be over the age of 25
  • At least 5 years in your relationship (if you are fostering as a couple)

Requirements with some flexibility

  • Full driving license
  • Being at home full time
