Eithne and her family have been foster carers for over 21 years and she brings a great insight into the recruitment of foster carers to her work. Eithne is passionate about the important role Foster Carers play in a child’s life.
Eithne’s role focuses on the recruitment of Foster Carers through generating and maintaining an awareness for the continual demand for Foster Carers via social media, website and all Origins Foster Carer Marketing Sources. Eithne is your first point of contact when you reach out to Origins Foster Care to express an interest in fostering. Eithne will sensitively guide you through the enquiry stage of the process.
As an experienced foster carer Eithne is fully aware of the needs of the children and young people that are referred to Origins Foster Care Service and how these needs must be reflected in the criteria required to become an approved Foster Carer.
Eithne holds an Honours Degree in Childhood and Youth Development, a Diploma in Life Coaching and a Certificate in Training and Development. Like all Origins Foster Care Team members, Eithne has completed training in Children’s First, Safeguarding, Data Protection, and several other relevant courses to maintain a current knowledge of both the operational & statutory obligations of working with Foster Carers and providing placements for Children & Teenagers.
