Fostering Fortnight 2022

Fostering Fortnight takes place this year from March 7th – 20th, and Origins Foster Care have an Information Evening this week to coincide with this celebration of foster care. Fostering Fortnight is an annual awareness campaign highlighting the valuable impact foster care can have on children in care.

Origins Foster Care Celebrates World Book Day 2022

Today March 3rd 2022 is World Book Day. World Book Day was created by UNESCO on 23rd April 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading. It is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.

After the tragic death of Sinéad O’Connor’s 17-year-old son Shane in January, the singer publicly thanked his guardian ad litem through social media. She said on Twitter that the guardian, Colin Hall, was “adored by Shane and me”, adding “you did your best Colin, thank you”.
